Supervise day to day operation of maintenance, and prepare specifications for ordering new equipment and spares Prepare maintenance contract document of all mechanical, civil and electrical equipment. Manage the ordering of spares through the chief hospital engineer. Monitor the standard maintenance provided by specialist contractors and approve claims for payment. Assist in the preparation of tender and contract document. Prepare specifications and drawings for improvement of the hospital, civil, mechanical, and electrical services. Identify plant replacement and spare parts. Monitor plant performance and efficiency. Supervise the maintenance of all electrical plant and hospital equipment. Represent the department in various hospital committees as and where required. Prepare and evaluate maintenance tenders/contracts documents and spare parts tenders as stipulated by purchasing committee. Participate in a re-call to work service to attend to emergency breakdowns. Ensure that the overall activities meet the requirements of quality management and environmental policies and legal stipulations. Demonstrate evidence of successful participation in required training programs offered by the hospital. Recognize the necessity to continually develop skills and acquire additional knowledge appropriate to the position.
6 - 8 years experience- preferable in hospitals or hotels or or residential buildings operation & maintenance)
